When Border7 first started back in 2005 from a computer science project, things were different in that there weren't very many options (if any) available for those who were not tech savvy.
Most websites then had to be custom coded, or built on an open source platform like WordPress, which still required a good deal of technical know how in order to keep the environment secure and functional.
