About Lulu's Restaurant
Lulu's Restaurant is a family owned and operated restaurant located in Van Nuys, CA. Lulu's is a fellow Goldman Sachs 10k Small Businesses Alumni and their objective was to update their outdated website. The goal of the update was to increase subscribers, their social following & sales on-site (instead of sending customers to a 3rd party site).

Objectives

Freshen up logo, improve design & user experience across mobile devices

Add an online ordering system & a make a reservation scheduling solution

Expand on current blog capabilities for improved search & browse-ability of articles

Grow social community, increase signups for loyalty program, & improve organic traffic
The Outcome
Modern, responsive website with shopping cart and make a reservation functionality. Calendar to promote social events, and integrated newsletter signup.

Customers can use a location based system to place their order online and Lulu's receives a fax of the order right in their kitchen.

40% increase in social followers, 25% increase in unique traffic to the site. Lulu's now saves the 5% they had been spending by directing customers to purchase through 3rd party site.

LOCATION BASED ONLINE ORDER
Lulu's needed an online ordering system on the new site, and to have a delivery or carryout option that would ask a customer for their zip code. Lulu's also needed to receive all orders via fax, as this was the best way for their kitchen staff to stay up-to-date on all incoming orders.

Checks customer's zip code to determine if they're eligible for delivery

Solution verifies delivery address, processes payment and completes the order.

Customer adds their desired food with various available options to their cart.

Once the order has been made, Lulu's kitchen staff receives the new order via fax.

Lulu's Restaurant needed an updated, mobile-friendly site that would showcase their quality food within an engaging interface. They had been giving a 3rd party solution commissions on their orders and customers were unable to make a reservation or order online.
