Turn your quests in for XP to Amy, the Border7 Questgiver

Hey Everyone! We figured that with the new site, and the expansion of our brand, we would give a more thorough introduction about each of us. My philosophy is that it’s always a good idea to know who you’re working with, and knowing is the half battle. Yes, that doesn’t really apply, but it’s always fun to include some reference to our childhoods.

meet amy Turn your quests in for XP to Amy, the Border7 QuestgiverAs one of the owners, I’m the president/director/chief everything officer, and I have my eyes on everything going on in the company. I get reports on project scopes, timelines, and what makes our clients happy or sad. I come up with our marketing strategies from our Social Media planning, to writing scripts to the videos we make (or going to). I sign the paychecks and handle our Quickbooks. Every now and then I’ll even take a sales call. I’ve also been known to train clients with Volusion when David isn’t available because I used to work there as a Technical Support Trainer.

What I love about Border7 is the people who work here. While we hold experience and work ethic to a high standard, during the hiring process, we also look to make sure that they fit with our culture. It’s important to us that everyone is happy at work, because a happy worker is a hard worker! And our employees are some of the happiest around!

Our new website was a few months in the making, and now that it’s done, I can’t be happier. It’s hard to pinpoint something specific to like, but if I had to choose I’d go with the little details. We’ve added a lot of small pieces to ensure that our personality wasn’t lost. The sitemap has a “Fellowship of the Ring” icon made up of all our little Oogs and Dinosaurs. We have a ghost-busting caveman somewhere on the site as well. These little touches just make me smile when I go through the site.

When I’m not working (as a business owner, when is that?), I try to spend time with family and friends. Lately, I’ve been going to a local pub to catch up with friends or seeing all the summer blockbusters. I’m a movie buff and try to maintain that status regardless of how busy my schedule is. I also read, I read A LOT. Be it a fantasy novel, the latest issue of any comic, an auto-biography, or some graphic novel I heard good things about, I can be found at the local Barnes & Noble looking for something new to add to my library.
