Design
- Mastering Custom Brushes: I’ve recently become addicted to making my own Photoshop brushes, but I haven’t tried this method.
- Quick Tip: Preparing Line Drawings for Coloring in Photoshop: If any of you are artists out there, here is a nice simple tutorial.
- The Design Inspiration: A good showcase of everything design; images, web sites, patterns, logos, fonts, etc…
Development
- Building Web Pages With HTML 5: I’m excited about the new DOCTYPE. Is it nerdy I get goosebumps just thinking about it? <!DOCTYPE html> Oooh! Sexy…
- CSS Prism by Ryan Berg: This is an interesting tool. Reads all of the color hashes from your CSS files and allows you to play around the spectrum to maybe get a new look for your site.
- Typekit: We will soon be able to embed and link to fonts, this will make things so much easier and entertaining. Now, comes Typekit. They are going to be a typeface hosting service which will provide vetted fonts which you can add into your website’s CSS”
Business & Freelancing
- Twenty-One Top Twitter Tips: More on Viral Marketing and how Twitter can help grow your business.
- The Man Behind the Memes: I never understood all of the references before now.
Nerdy Geeky Entertaining
- Addiction Therapists Signing Up to World of Warcraft: This just makes all of us gamers look bad…
- Games That Design Themselves: With how fast AI is developing, this isn’t too surprising.
